We are now 5 days away from the release of this set. I love the series and would buy it in a heartbeat, especially for $17.22 after 20% coupon at DeepDiscount next week if it weren't for one big problem...
Before I buy this I need to know if these episodes have been edited in any way. If they replace the John Sebastian theme song with something else (like they replaced Billy Joel's "My Life" on Bosom Buddies) and/or if they used the syndicated/edited episodes instead of uncut ones, I can't reward the studio by buying this set even though I love the series.
So, I searched on Google and DVD-Basen... I couldn't find a single review or detail about whether the episodes are intact. Either nobody has gotten a screener copy yet or not too many people are interested in Kotter besides a few die-hard fans.
If anyone knows the answers, please post here. I'd appreciate it so much. Thanks!

DVD Talk review:

No mention of any music or theme song cuts however, the reviewer mentions that the episodes on the DVD are not edited.

Wasn't the last season awful? I seem to remember Travolta had bailed either midway through or at the end of season 3 and was replaced by a real lamer.
If that's the case, then I hope at least Seasons 2 and 3 see the light of day.
