Based off last week's previews, this looks like it will be a fun one. I always said that
Spoiler:
aliens
on this show would be their Jump the Shark moment, but they might just pull it off. Looking forward to it.

This was the first time I have actually watched Supernatural, and Ihad a lot of fun watching it. It reminding me of the x-files, when they did these kind of spoofs.

I liked the episode and the whole take on the trickster god, but this episode was definitely heavily influenced by The X-Files "Comedy" episodes, particularly "Jose Chung's From Outer Space" and "Bad Blood", and unfortunately it paled in comparison.

Good episode ... even if they telegraphed the ending. But it looks like another recurring player has been added to the mix.

Of course it's heavily influenced by The X-Files. They share many of the same creative staff. In fact, this one was written by John Shiban and Kim Manners was the exec. producer. I fail to see how they could avoid influence.

Anyway, I thought it was a great episode. But I took it for what it is and didn't try to compare it to other shows.

I didn't mean influence in style or type of stories - that's a given with all the ex-XFilers on board the show. I meant a key plot device was lifted straight from those particular episodes of The X-Files, which both featured comically exaggerated recollections of an investigation. And both of those X-Files episodes were a lot funnier than this one.

I thought this was hilarious and extremly well done. Probably one of my favourite episodes of this season... the slow dancing aliens were the best...and I loved seeing how Sam acted when Dean was telling the story and vice versa... classic stuff.

I agree.

The opening recap, Sam/Dean's storytelling, Alien Slow Dancing and Dean's interaction with the Trickster pretty much had me

Unfortunately, that's not next week. Instead, that episode - the next new one - won't premiere until March 15th. ("Supernatural" will be reruns until then.)

Real fun episode especially considering that last week's episode was not that great. Looking forward to seeing the Trickster back to torment the boys.
