Totally agree. And here I was imagining Roxanne played in an adult contemporary style.

Well, that explains why Bennett and Wonder are there..

Great performance by the Police. Sting has really taken care of his voice.

I thought they did a great job...

but Sting needs to cover up those chicken arms.

This ain't the 80's any more.

Btw...did Stevie trip on his way up? I noticed Tony not giving a shit and him stumbling a bit, they went a wide shot...and then cut away for an abnormally long time.

OH....and thank god Beyonce gave us the first "thank God" comment. Yes, God is proud of you, Beyonce. You owe everything to him.

Whoops. I guess that was Mary J. She did it again.

Wow. Could they use a fucking WIDER lens for Shakira? I think there're might've been one or two shots of her face...and it's not like there were focusing on her hips either.

THAT would've made that song bearable..

I know the Police have to come out and sing Roxanne, Message or Every Breath, but even so it really wasn't anything special. Wish they could have performed a bit longer. Or just come out and sing "Mother" and piss everyone off!

Up to this point the only live thing I've really enjoyed is Corinne Bailey Rae. Sweety. She could teach a thing or two to most of the American R&B singers sitting in the audience. It's called restraint.

Ehh. That was a lackluster performance by the Police. Wish they could have done something with a little more kick. I almost fell asleep during the middle. And as predicted, the show immediately took a nose dive after they were through playing. Jamie Foxx asking the audience to "give it up" for five minutes before the first award (for best duo). Going to (BIG surprise) Tony Bennett and Stevie Wonder. That's when I turned it off. I'm so sick of this show playing it safe and giving an award to a legend just for being a legend.

A-freakin'-men. Beyonce and Aguliera's histrionics are tiresome and unnecessary.

Also, i'm not Mr. Fashionplate, but are all the Dixie Chicks knocked up? Or is it just their dresses?

Also, are they really "country"? Or does anything with a fiddle qualify?

So, the purpose of this "tribute" is to make sure the Eagles really do reunite?

Am I the only one that wishes they'd just actually give awards instead of dragging the show out with performance after performance?

It could've been worse. We could've been subjected to a performance of the...Grammy...award...winning..."My Humps".

Anyone else feel like we ARE watching BET?

The show is much more enjoyable if yoiu're at work (like me) and have the sound turned off. Lots of pretty black boys.

Why exactly did they have Smokey, Lionel and that guy singing one after the other and being applauded together? Did I miss something? They could have let Smokey sing three songs.

And am I the only one who cannot stand Rascal Flatts?
