The Reaping - Hilary Swank film from Dark Castle

This film is now slated to come out on April 6th, 2007. Trailer looks interesting, I like the premise.

Apparently Phillip Glass scored the film, but that is being dumped and is being replaced with a score by John Frizzell.

I've seen this trailer on and off for about six months, and think it looks awful. What is up with Swank? First Black Dahlia and now this junk.

She was in the Buffy the Vampire Slayer movie back in 1992, maybe it all stems back to that?

Just saw a preview at the theatres, and it was the first time that I have heard of this film. Didn't seem very interesting. She has taken some crap roles likely though.

It was pushed from mid-November to early April. Wasn't Serenity pushed back from April to September? It's not like it's been pushed by a year.

I used to like the Dark Castle flicks - they weren't great, but they had their place as disposable entertainment which played quite well in the Halloween time frame.

But Gothika and The House of Wax were both crap. HoW came out in early May, you know, when everyone's in the mood for a scary movie.

Don't forget the "Dangerous Minds" movie, too (too lazy to go to IMDB)

She's the female Michael Caine.

The title "The Reaping" is just the worst title ever. Every time I hear it I'm reminded of The Re-Deadening on The Simpsons

This movie is being slaughtered by critics.

6% on Rotten Tomatoes.

Too bad. Looked interesting.

I'm a sucker for pseudo-biblical subject matter in thrillers.

Actually, I just like The Ninth Gate a lot.

I liked The Ninth Gate, too, but Depp and Polanski on their worst days are still bound to come up with something interesting.

The Raping... since that's what Grindhouse is about to do to Hilary.

the move looked sort of intesting but i find Hilary Swank extremly annoying and exept for 'the core' which was a fun movie she has mad some junk-'freedom writers?'-nothing like an MTV production to raise your career.

Exactly how dumb is Warner to open this against a Tarantino/Rodriguez horror movie? Two R-Rated horror movies in one weekend is certainly a rarity nowadays, but I'm pretty sure the one with an A-list cast (Bruce Willis, Kurt Russell) and A-list directors will win this easily.

House of Wax was pretty good i thought. but I was looking forward to this when I seen the trailer last summer but now I dont really have any interest in it any more. Looking forward to seeing GrindHouse instead

I really enjoyed House of Wax. This is scripted by the same writers, but i'm not really interested in this one.

Why did this movie open on a Thursday? For that matter, why did Firehouse Dog open on Wed?
