Children of Men - 03/27 (2-disc?)

I could find no details anywhere on the soon to be released Children of Men. Looking at Amazon though, I see three releases, from which it's apparent there will be single-disc widescreen and full-screen editions, and a two-disc edition ($39.98). No other details that I can find.

Let's hope this Universal 2-disc set doesn't go out of print after 2 weeks. *cough* United 93 *cough* Jarhead

OR

It could be the listing for the HD DVD/DVD Combo, which is sure to have the $39.99 retail. Even though they only say DVD as the format.

This was an AMAZING movie, definately one of my favorites this year. But I'm going to have to look at the special feature differences to make up my mind between the two editions...

Wow. I've never seen United 93 2-disc in any store. I had a chance or two to get it at Amazon, but stuck with the 1-disc.

Cinderella Man seems to be the one Universal 2-discer lately that can still be found.

I did manage to get Jarhead 2-disc brand new on ebay for $40. I don't think I overpaid too much considering this was hard as hell to find. And let's not forget Munich...

If I buy a DVD I always go for the 2disk on the release date.

I guess no two-discer after all. According to DVDActive, the higher-priced version is the HD/DVD combo.

If there is some form of special edition or exclusive art somewhere, here's hoping they'll stick to this type of theme for the cover:

I thought this movie was awesome. It flew by. A lot of scenes reminded me of first person shooter video games like half-life...especially anytime they were in a car or other forms of transportation.

This is a must buy for me but I'm not too crazy about the cover art.

I concur on the fugly cover art, makes you wonder how Universal frakked up on the marketing for this movie.

Still, I can't wait to see this movie again on DVD.

Actually, if you look at the cover for the UK DVD, we got really lucky! Theirs sucks even worse. It's Clive Owen with a window photoshopped in front of him, with a hole in the glass where his face is.

The cover art has been terrible for all regions with this one. It's a shame because it's so awesome.

Meh, I think that R2 cover, taken from some of the posterart, is more appealing. The red font is blaringly bright and it is a bit closely cropped, but that shot fits well with a great scene from the film.

Spoiler:
When Theo looks out at a very pregnant Kee through the broken window at the school.

I think the theatrical poster of the fetus in the womb is best.

Wow, did they spend 5 minutes throwing that cover together? Pathetic.

"See the film that features intense 'Clive Owen looking around a wall' action!"

"Discover the answer to the question that has critics everywhere talking: What is Clive Owen looking at through a broken window?"
