Creative Vision M Media Player $159.99 shipped after coupon and $50 MIR at Buy.com

Good deal on a player I have been wanting for a while.

It is $224.99 with a $50 mail in rebate and free budget shipping.

Creative Vision M- Black

Then there is as $15 off computers, electronics etc. that is good for everyone (not stackable with the $10 google checkout coupon though) available at this link.

The link I tried to post for the coupon didn't work, so just google "buy.com coupons" and all the coupon sites have links to it. Then add it to your cart after following their link, and chose budget shipping to get it for $209.99. Then the last check out screen will have a link to print the $50 rebate form.

The coupon link just doesn't work, I fixed the first post. Actually had reposted in another thread due to lag on the forum here (didn't think this post went through).

Deleted the other thread, as it had no replies yet.

Thanks OP for the info. I have struggled with buying this unit for at least a year, but this price after rebate is too good to pass up. Finally I can drag some TV shows around in my pocket!

I believe the $15 coupon expired yesterday, you may still be able to knock $10 off with google check out though (see link on buy.com if it's still up).

Here's a link for a 7% off coupon which should be good for almost exactly $15 off this player:

7% off coupon

I've had this player for a while and really like it. $160 for it is awesome.

I bought this player last week right before they did the rebate, of course! The player is great, and the video quality is amazing, better than the Ipods and above all else it play Divix files wonderfully. For those of you who get it don't be suprised if it doesn't start up right off the bat, give it some time to charge up. And get some kind of protection for it IE a silocone skin or something like it.

They sure take their sweet time shipping when you use the free budget shipping. Ordered on Tuesday morning, just today moved from "processing" to "sent to warehouse."

I guess it depends on where you live. Most time I got my purchases from buy.com on next day, using the free budget shipping. But again I have to pay CA sales tax

I wouldn't think where you live would affect it processing for 5 days before the order is sent to the warehouse to be prepared for shipping.

Anyway, finally shipped and will be here tomorrow, so fast shipping once they got the order out.

I shouldn't complain anyway as it will be here 7 days from ordering and the free shipping said 7-10 days.

Any suggestions?
I got this last week, and I'm loving it. I never thought I'd ever buy a video player like this, but at that price I couldn't say no. Also, I lost my 60gig zen, so I had to get something. But I really do want to put the player in some sort of protection. So any suggestions?

There are 2 that I know of:

The cheaper Best Skins Ever:

InvisibleSHIELD:

http://www.shieldzone.com/item_descr...ENVISMFUL.html

Some people say you should apply either one of the above before you use the Zen or put it in a case to prevent scratches.

I received my player today. I purchased a silicone skin kit that has a plastic visor that folds up and down over the LCD screen and comes with a car charger and AC adapter. Found it at Amazon for $26. I already have some screen protector sheets I have used for my cellphone and other MP3 players that were made for a Palm Pilot and can be cut to size. I'll see how that looks before I spend more money on another product.

I purchased this case.

http://www.amazon.com/Creative-Premi...UTF8&s=apparel

Got it on ebay though for much cheaper. Also bought an AC adapter for $11 shipped here:

I looked at that silicon kit with ac adapters as well (also on ebay for cheaper than Amazon BTW) but I just don't like silcon covers and liked how the above case can stand up for video viewing.

Man, reading that forum makes me feel crazy. I'll regret buying the thing all together if I become that obsessed with its appearance. My screen came out of the box with a tiny indention near the left edge, and I'm trying not to pull my hair out about that already. I can see wanting to protect the face of the player, but those plastic sheets make it look a bit silly and seem like a real hassle to apply properly. I can live with the screen itself being scratch-free for as long as possible.

The silicone skin I bought has a kickstand on it as well.

I know how you feel, I can only go there ocasionally or I will get obsessed with my vision. But it does have some good info, including a tutorial on how to rip your dvds and convert them to a playable format and info on firmware updates.

You can also use Paypal to combine with this if you haven't already used your $15 off of $30 or more rebate.
