DVD Planet Quote Machine

I recently send in about 40 DVDs to DVD Planets quote machine that I plan to upgrade to Blu Ray. I have never used it before. How long does it usually take to get the credit and find out which discs they are going to keep? How do you find out? An email? I tried to find a log in at the quote machine, but could only log in if I wanted to get a new quote.

Thanks!

You will probably get an email from them (usually a couple of weeks after you sent the DVDs in, but it varies). Just log into your regular account often and keep an eye on the store credit...

I've never had a DVD turned down, but it is their policy to return DVDS they don't accept.

My package was delivered on Jan 15 according to USPS and I still haven't received credit for it.

They are saying they are going through the early Jan shipment they received right now. I want my High Def movies!

But normally, they are very good at posting the credit.

I just sent them some discs and it took two weeks to get the credit. Unfortunately, the amount they credited me differed from the original quote, and I've been unable to contact them via return email. My emails to the [email protected] address keep getting bounced back. I sent a copy of my email to Mark Harrill on Friday, but haven't heard anything yet. I'll probably have to call customer service, which is a pain in the butt. I've sold them probably four or five shipments in the past and always had good luck, never had a problem or a disc refused until now.

I spoke to Customer Service yesterday and they figured out the problem. One of my discs was refused and that accounted for the price difference, but the email they sent me was confusing. Anyway, we got it straightened out. I'd still use them again (and I'm sure I will).

Damn, I want to order Babel (HD DVD) and The Prestige (Blu-ray). I'm probably gonna go ahead and get them using Google Checkout if I don't get the credit by tomorrow. Damn.

I've used them a few times in the past and I haven't had any issues so far.

However, my last shipment is taking them a long time to process. I mailed my dvd's on January 5. According to usps website tracker, the package was received on January 25. I haven't received credit for my shipment, still waiting.

I sent a trade-in order in that was received on 1/31, and I am still waiting to receive my credit. In general, they've been a lot quicker than they have this time around.

I tried secondspin.com recently, and they're turn-around has been a lot quicker. In addition, you have the option of receiving cash with secondspin.com.

I have still not received any credit. Though I did call them and they told me they were done inspecting the discs and the credit should come any day now. I sent mine the last week of January.

Is it strictly store credit or is there cash payout?

I entered a few titles I had lying around and I was up to about $80 in no time...

Store credit only at DVD Planet. If you're looking for an online option for sending in DVDs for cash, try secondspin.com. They're the only one I'm aware of...

They just processed a shipment that I sent in 10 days ago. Very quick on the processing. They rejected one disc (BOURNE SUPREMACY) because of damage, but it was factory sealed. There was a punchout hole in the UPC, which may have been the source of the problem.
