Well it all depends on your taste. I'd recommend searching for the No Shame thread in the main DVDTalk forum. There's a good amount of talk to go around.
I'm still catching up on many of these, but of those that I've seen, I really enjoyed (and all for very different reasons):
Your Vice Is A Locked Room...
Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow
Giavannona Long Thigh
Strange Vice of Mrs. Wardh
The Railroad Man
Boccaccio 70

This is a must-own. My top pick for a disc of the year (2006).
Too bad DDD doesn't carry Ubalda, which was supposed to come out the same day as Giovannona : Long Thigh. I never understood why DDD would get some titles, and then not others.
Also wish No Shame would update their freakin' site! And tell me what new DVDs are coming soon other than Snackbar Budapest.
I would highly recommend Almost Human. Tomas Milian is really excellent in that.

I too highly recommend Almost Human. I also highly recommend Strange Vice of Mrs. Wardh even though I found Black Belly of the Tarantula boring and even Deep Red to be a little dull. Therefore I'm wary of additional giallo's such as Scorpion's Tail and Your Vice Is A Locked Room. Let's face it, I only though Suspira was pretty good. Strange Vice is hands down my favorite giallo so far.

The two titles that I think are "must haves" are 'Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow' and 'Boccaccio 70', both of which are classics. The Boccaccio set comes with such a large booklet that it is folded in half to fit in the case (it caused my case to crack at the hinge) and is the uncut four episode version never released in the original run in the U.S.

I received my Zurlini set today! Can't wait to watch it. The only bad news is that (once again) the case arrived with a good chunk broken out of one corner. This only usually happens from DDD, and it most often seems to happen to non-standard cases (Murphy's law). In this case, it's a single case with a hinged holder inside for the second disc. Fortunately, the DVDs are fine, and the booklet (which is nice!) is only slight crumpled in one corner, so it won't be going back...
Also, 8 days shipping time from DDD to me is very good, compared to their usual time of 3 weeks+.

I've only watched Violent Summer so far. It was excellent! I thought the 'Temptation' scene was very well done. Looking around, the soundtrack CD is next to impossible to find.
Regarding the film, I'm a little puzzled... The run time is listed as 103 minutes on the case, but it only runs around 97min... Are there missing or edited scenes? I also saw this frame on the Cannes festival site, but don't remember seeing it in the film. It looks like it might have been following the scene where Carlo goes into Roberta's home when the others are asleep. It was also in the stills section in the DVD extras. Possibly as publicity still, I suppose.
Another thing I found interesting is that the scene were Maddalena is leaving on the train, Roberta asks for her forgiveness, but none is given. In the trailer, Maddalena responds by saying "No Roberta, you forgive me!"
Looking forward to Girl with a Suitcase!

I am not aware of any cuts being made for this release. In fact, the US release is an exact replica of the print restored by the Italian distribs: no cuts, no edits, whatsoever! I am a little sick now to follow up with a research but perhaps the time discrepancy comes off the PAL-NTSC conversion (which is properly done here).
Either way both transfers are top-notch (Ragazza con...) and in my opinion this is the best package from last year.
Finally, it was Violent Summer many, many years ago that I saw on a German VHS which forced me to see Le Amiche (not the other way around). Lost my mind over Eleonora!

The Desert of the Tartars is considered by many film scholars as Zurlini's masterpiece. As you could probably guess I have a slightly different opinion on the matter. Nevertheless the film is a great adaptation of Buzzati's novel and the No Shame disc is, as expected, of top notch quality. Yet, this is a very different film.
Slightly off-topic, if you are willing to explore a little further, I would recommend a disc that I received a few weeks ago. A grand project (take it with a grain of salt) where four classic Italian directors-Luigi Comencini, Dino Risi, Franco Rossi, Mauro Bolognini, take on four classic beauties-Elke Sommer, Monica Vitti, Gina Lollobrigida, Virna Lizi.
I do believe that after Zurlini (or the lack of other titles on the market) Le Bambole is exactly what you need. This is an Italian R2 English subbed disc.

Regarding the Le Bambole DVD, is this the version you're referring to?
Though the specs are wrong!! The disc includes both English subtitles AND an English dub. Quality is very good (not solid) and clearly Le Bambole is one of the best Italian imports in my library this early in the year.
By the way the earlier cover I posted was actually changed and what you see above appears as the disc's coverwork (actual dvd).

I watched Girl with a Suitcase, and while it wasn't as good as Violent Summer, it was still very enjoyable. Claudia Cardinale is also very easy on the eyes. The time on this disc matched up perfectly to the stated time, so I'm not sure what happened with Violent Summer.
This set is certainly a welcome addition to my DVD collection.
