24.99 is that a deal?

That seems pretty reasonably priced. I bought mine for $27.99 during release week. I think it was something like $17.99-$19.99 on Black Friday, but that's rare to see.

A tad better than average, no more a "good" price than a C+ is a good grade. Especially when you consider the other adult swim cartoons that semi-regularly go on sale for less than $15, sometimes even half of that.

There was a Buy 1, Get 1 offer at Deep Discount DVD where you could've gotten it for about $19 if you got another title of the same value, but it looks like that's over.

The only place that's running a Buy 1 Get 1 on Boondocks right now that I know of is Barnes & Noble, but all of the titles are at MSRP. So Boondocks and another $49.95 MSRP set would average out to $24.98 each. It looks like your price is the best at the moment.

The MSRP for the most of the other Adult Swim titles is $29.98, while Boondocks is $49.95. It makes sense seeing that Boondocks has full length episodes while the other Adult Swim shows are half-length episodes.

OK. You got me on those. :foot:
I was only taking the half-length ones into consideration and those two completely slipped my mind, even though I ended up getting them both at Amazon. I never really considered the Oblongs as an AS show, even though AS aired the stuff that UPN never did. Anyway, looking at them again it looks like the main difference is that they have different distributors (Sony has Boondocks, Warner has the rest), so it seems doubtful Boondocks will end up ever getting that low (without a glitch anyway).

Yes that is a decent price, if I hadn't waited 3 hours in line and the most disorganized BF event ever @ Circuit City, I'd certainly pay that price.

$24.99 isn't too bad...

But i recently partook in the DVDPLANET buy 1 boxset get 1 free sale and got 2 copies of The Boondocks for $27 (price reflects $10 Google Coupon)
I figured that i would trade in the other copie or sale it to someone for approx. $13.50 (half the total cost) or even more...
So, bottom line, that would mean i paid no more than $13.50 for 1 copy

:D

You got stuck at a poorly organized Circuit City on Black Friday too, huh?

Don't forget the 15% off coupon (from the B&N thread), plus you save another 10% if you buy it in store. So it would be $38.24 for TWO $50 box sets. You might want to see if there is another $50 set you are willing to pay $13.25 for before you make your purchase...
