The FYE in Dallas at Galleria is closing. This does not look like liquidation since the FYE employees are still at teh cash registers and the signage is not the same like a liquidators.

(Galleria is high-rent so I am surprised they lasted this long, unless waiting for lease to be up.)

Seems like it just started as all at 10% (calendars 75%).

Since not a liquidator, this may not go too well. A few years ago Saturday Night Matinee (IIRC) at Northpark and FYE at Irving Mall went out and only took discounts to 30% before closing.

((P.S. The Invincible Iron Man was also set out on a front display -- EARLY and at 10, yeah I know. But this means they may have other 1/23 disks out as well.))

Others may want to check their FYE's in similar high-rent areas.

This now means that only Lewisville's Suncoast and Town East's Sam Goody remain.

One of our two local FYE's closed down about 2 or 3 years ago, and the prices were never any good. Since it was just a location closing and not a chain, all they cared about was ditching some inventory and then sending the rest around to other stores.

Well when sam goody at the parks mall in arlington closed last year I believe they got to 85% off. So FYE closing might reach close to that if we are lucky, but who knows.

The difference being that Sam Goody was part of the big Suncoast / Media Play chain closedown. FYE still has plenty of locations across the country to send excess stock to.
