Tower.com (http://www.towerrecords.com/Video/Default.aspx) is having a sitewide 25% off sale 1/19 - 1/22.
Use code J7F4T3Y to get an extra 15% off purchases of $40 or more, excluding video games. Standard Free Shipping for orders of $20 or more. That's the good news.
The bad news: Their sale is 25% off LIST prices, so whether it's a great deal or not is in the eye of the beholder...

Well, just for kicks, I tried it out.
I want Desperate Housewives, S2. They list it at a whopping $69.99, on "sale" for $52.59 (Best Buy is $49.99 regularly priced for comparison). With the extra 15% coupon, it takes it down to $44.62, almost $5 cheaper than BB's regular price.
I think I'll pass though. Not a good enough deal for me, especially with $30 Target and $25 BB gift cards in my pocket! I'll wait (anxiously!) for better prices somewhere else.
There's probably good deal in there for someone though. Thanks for the post!

With the extra 15%, it should bring the Criterions a little cheaper then DVD Planet (that is assuming you don't use the google checkout loophole), plus even a little better for us in Illinois since we will not have to pay tax.

You can get The Wire: Season 3 for 63.74 shipped which is a little over a dollar cheaper than Amazon...

I was looking to get the Bond Ultimate Collection Vol. 2, which was listed at $59.99 before the sale started (33% off) and now is listed at $67.49 (25% off). With the extra 15% off coupon, it comes down to $57.37, a whopping $2.62 less. Bah.

I noticed they had two listings for the Wages of Fear Criterion. Both appear to be the re-issues. One is ~$30 and has more details as to what it is. The other is ~$22 (it's $25 at DVDPlanet) but has less details. The UPC for it does match on other sites though.

the 25% is not so great considering some of the stuff had 30% and 35% off just this week. the coupon above doesn't expire until the end of the month so maybe once the sale is over they will go with their previous discount for those items that had one.

Ie said it before-some places "sale" prices are the everday prices of some stores, not just on the internet, but some of the larger stores-and when THEY have a sale...

This is their idea of a sale? More like a rape.

That's why they went out of business. With that said, the criterion Fassbinder box for about $15 was pretty nice...
