It's not every DVD at the website, but the link will take you to a pretty extensive list. (Mods, feel free to modify the link to link thru DVDTalk, if possible.) Most titles appear to be 10% off the MSRP, but the deal ends up being 40% off the MSRP. Yes, one can find some of the titles for less at other online stores (I picked up the 2-disc Singin' in the Rain at Amazon for $10.99, for example), but you may find something in here worth your dollar. Eh, if the prices had been better this would be nice. And the shipping sucks. If a sale like this with these titles was going on at DVDPlanet or DDD I'd be down.

I don't know where you read that the transfer was poor. This disc is easily the best the movie has ever looked on home video.

Most reviews say that the transfer is "good but not great". Obviously it's not up to the standards of Warner's best restorations. But any problems are slight and don't detract from the enjoyment of the film.

Considering that The Haunting is one of the greatest horror movies ever made, and you can get it for under $8 shipped at DDD, I wouldn't wait for a re-release that may never come.

The image remains sharp and effective however, as softness never proves to be much of an issue. The gorgeous black & white visuals come off well on the whole, thanks to smooth and well balanced black levels. I did detect some inconsistent moments, but overall, contrast is well executed. So yes, I would have loved to had a new restored presentation, but this isn't a bad treatment in the least."
