The Class 1/15/07

Not sure if anyone is still watching this, but tonight's show was the best yet.

I actually don't know anyone's name (common for me with all shows, not just this one), so let me just say....

John Ritter's kid is pretty decent.

The gay guy is close to my favorite character on the show.

Bitchy gal is a hoot.

The guy with the hair....his mom on the phone absolutely slays me.

Bitchy gal's sister and the redhead were making me laugh so damn hard, and the football player's wife was decent as well.

First time the show seemed to have everything together, and I hope this continues.

Not sure if this is really a spoiler or not, but just in case:

Spoiler:
The blonde reporter with the flaming husband is being written out of the show. I don't watch it anymore, so for all I know, it could have happened last night.

The show was on the money last night.

True, this episode was running on all cylinders. The mother eavesdropping on the phone bit was pretty well executed.

From what I read:

Spoiler:
I think that her husband will still be a part of the show. Not positive though

Thank goodness! She was the weakest part. She wasn't on the episode last night. I wonder if she'll be written out, or just not mentioned again.

The show is really starting to click. More interaction is needed between the group as a whole, but it's been very funny lately.

I like how they are slowly working them all together. It just wouldn't have been realistic to have them all start being friends after so many years.

If you watched the "Table Reading" of the Feb 19th episode "The Class Springs a Leak" -- which is available on their InterTube -- you'll find that:

Spoiler:
They welcome back Perry (Holly's flame-boyant husband) and he helps Nicole decorate the house... and Holly is not at the table reading.

I haven't been keeping up with the episodes, but from what I have seen posted elsewhere:

Spoiler:
The rumour is that she does get killed. I don't know anything about Richie's psycho ex-wife, so you are probably correct

On my previous message, I just cut and pasted from another site. This is the event that leads to the speculation:
Spoiler:
A couple episodes ago, ritchie's x-wife asked who he was cheating with and he said Holly Ellenbogen(sp)

TV Guide confirms it:

Spoiler:

The Class Drops a Mate

We have breaking news about, and not from, Holly Ellenbogen: A CBS spokesperson confirms that Lucy Punch, who played The Class' high-strung news anchor, is leaving the series. In a statement released to TVGuide.com, the freshman sitcom's executive producers explain, "Due to creative changes, Lucy Punch is no longer a cast member. She is a superb actress and did a fabulous job. We hope to work with her again in the near future."

I guess this is what Jason Ritter meant when he told me they were "reworking some things" with Punch's character, though Holly's "colorful" hubby, played by Sam Harris, will apparently stick around.

Gotta agree. This show started off a bit shaky - as if it was trying a bit too hard - but it's gotten better with just about every ep. It's a nice combo with How I Met Your Mother.

I like how the relationships have been drawn together in different ways and into separated friendships.

Caught the ep yesterday on the InterTube. Dang funny.

Loved the pre-"hit it" banter between Lena and Richie.

And Duncan's mom on the phone was hilarious.

... and I didn't mind Holly being MIA.
