As for 27" LCD HDTV's... I've seen the Olevia and others for less than the price of the Insignia you posted. You need to watch for sales to get the best price. In fact, post CES show you should see even more aggressive pricing.

I don't know but I have it and reaslly love it. It surprised me as to how good it is for the price.
