pretty good episode to come back on. the whole lynette family thing where they don't show their fourth kid or take her anywhere cracks me up.

the real alma story feels like a sudden unintentional shift, like they changed their plans mid-way. probably would have been more apparent if they didn't have a long break to buffer it with
the jokes about the hat were pretty good

re: injection. I actually thought Alma would die right there at the dinner table and work something out to blame Dr. Hodge. (what's his first name?)

"... and no egos. Amigos! Together!" - Gypsy (Stephen Sondheim)
This show is starting to finally wear on me. Gabby and Carlos seem to be going in circles with tiresome results. The Alma storyline seems to be tacked on in an effort to perhaps avoid having to show Bree (pregnant Marcia Cross) much - hence the rift between her and Susan. If Gabby and Lynette take Susan's side, Bree could remain off-camera indefinitely.
Lynette's youngest daughter Penny not being in scenes like at the restaurant is just plain sloppy writing. Kayla is being written to be a mini version of her mother. So now I have yet another character I just flat out hate, except this one should be getting a spanking and serious punishment for that restaurant stunt.
The injection Alma gave herself was kind of wierd. If it was insulin related, an injection to the leg isn't the best spot. So who knows? I almost again, don't care knowing it'll be weeks before it gets explained and will turn out to be nothing.
It was interesting to see Paul Young in prision with Mike. That was the only storyline that showed any potentially interesting prospects.
Also, Tom is always working on this restaurant while Lynette takes care of the kids. Did she quit her job?

I also LOL hard when the girl was introduced to the boys, and they all patted her on her head.

This show went back to school, got a PhD in marine biology, went out on an expedition, discovered new species of sharks, and jumped them.
I mean, seriously. You've got a character in a coma. Then he dramatically awakens from the coma. Now he has amnesia. The only way this could be more soap opera stupid is if the crime turns out to have been committed by his evil twin.
That is of course, the second coma incident on the show. Let us not forget mama Soliz. Lot of comas going around.
Ian is probably only in the picture temporarily, so his wife will probably have her own dramatic coma awakening, or else he'll die. They gave the character a good chance this week to depart with dignity in reasonably believable way. That probably won't happen again.
I was also non-plussed by the departure of Kayla's mamma. Her breasts were by far the best reason to watch that show.

The "Julie-Andrew-van de Tramp" scene didn't even make sense. I've only seen the three of them on camera at the same time...two times tops?
Hated Kayla. She needs to be bussed off to an orphanage ASAP.
That's all I've got.

That character was awful. She wasn't attractive and was basically an annoying one-note, harpy bitch. I cheered when she died. The kid is almost as bad.

I didn't know she was pregnant but I noticed that her tits looked bigger than I had ever noticed before.
