DVD Talk review of 'The Great Yokai War'
I read Thomas Spurlin's DVD review of The Great Yokai War at http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/read.php?ID=25853 and...I don't think you meant to say "*inane* ability to craft wonderful performance from his players". Other than that, I found your review fascinating for its vivid presentation of the visuals and plot of this film. I'm a sometimes Miike fan (when he's bad, as in "Fudoh," he's pretty awful), but I took away from your description a deep craving to see the film. I've been wrong before, but I think I'll enjoy this. Thanks for the review.

I'm glad you enjoyed the review, though! Yokai might not grip everyone, but it's definitely worth at least one ride.
