Taking an item back to Best Buy when you've used reward zone certs...
I have a phone that I bought that just sucks. I need to take it back and exchange it. Problem is that I usd $15 in RZ certificates and paid the rest (brought the phone down from $89 to $74. When I return this phone, do I get credit back for those certificates to apply towards the new phone? How does that work? I won't lose them, right? If so, I'm going to be pissed.

You have two options:
1) If you are doing an exchange in-store they can instantly apply those certificates on your new selection.
2) You simply return the item and the amount you actually paid gets returned to original form of payment and the RZ points get credited back to your account.

Ah, fantastic. I figured I wouldn't lose them, but wanted to make sure. Thanks for the info!

Ive had this happen to me before a couple of times. The easisest thing to do is to do an exchange and use up the certificate credit when you return the other phone. The other thing i have done is just get a store credit/gift card. I am always shopping in Best Buy so I kne I would use the credit at some point. But I have never had a problem getting compensated for the RZ certs.

Yeah, this will be an exchange to another phone. I'll just have them credit my other purchase.
