I usually reply to these reviews to counter the opinion given, but in this case, I agree with your assessment of the film. furtheer, I would like to make a public service announcement of sorts to say: do no see the painted veil unless you have developed a perverse appreciation for superficial characterizations, awkward camera blocking and a complete lack of subtext.
