Cool list. I remember many of those.
That Coal Black and the Sebben Dwarfs is awesome.

Also, "The Blitz Wolf" is a great MGM feature by Tex Avery, and it was omitted. Oh well, these are all "people's opinions," and they will always differ from your opinions, and they will always differ from my opinions.

I have that book. I've even met the author on a coupole of occasions. It's pretty sweet that the page carrying the list links to 44 of the toons. Gotta love the internet.
And Coal Black is a must see of anyone who hasn't. Check your easily offended nature at the door and appreciate it in the context of the times it was made. It's nothing short of fantastic. I know WB won't ever restore it, but oh what I wouldn't give to see a clean print.

That's the sad part. I think something like that is an important part of History as far as the Media and American culture. But that's just me.

Can any very savvy animation person here give me a quick rundown on which of the WB cartoons on that list have and haven't yet been included on any of the thus far four Looney Tunes Golden Collections?

So listing what has not would take quite a while As for what has, I'm sure there are plenty of sites. Google it!!

I don't know the name of it, but the one where the hunter kept throwing Daffy Duck in the Freezer and Daffy would jump out doing crazy stuff and it ended with him singing Jingle Bells was one of my favorites. Is this on the list?

Found a cool list of The 50 Greatest Cartoons as voted on by the animation industry in 1994. As a holiday present to our readers we've put together a link to an online video for each one below! (we found a video for all but 6.) Many wonderful, funny, trippy and cartoons spanning the decades (and some that were banned.) Enjoy

Not a bad list, most cartoons today (or in the last 20 years) are not classics, and never will be.
The one that should have been added (IMHO) is the Batman show from the 90's. It is the show that brought the "Animated Superheroes" back to the small screen. Xmen was great, but Batman was light years ahead of Xmen as far as classics go.

They seem to be releasing the most popular toons on the sets. Unless yours is a very obscure one, chances are good it will come out. But honestly, there's not a market for a 40 volume, 160 disc series, especially once the more well known toons come out.
