Disgusted with BUY.COM customer service
The day I received STAR TREK ANIMATED SERIES from BUY.COM
I emailed them regarding the missing inserts from this box set.
I received an automated email telling me that with in 6 hours I will be hearing from them.
Three emails later, and promises of expidited solution to this problem, nothing happened. It is now a month later and I emailed them again. The response was please call customer service and they gave me the number to call. After 15 minutes of wait time I was finally speaking to a human being.
Since this problem is over 14 days, their time frame for return, I cannot get my inserts.
I exploded and told them that I was very unhappy with te service and I will post my problem on this forum.
Any way to get the inserts some other way?

I did some hunting around and got their corp center out west (CA?)...and got the name of someone. He took my call bc he wasn't sure who I was (he was suprised I was able to track him down, so he listened to my problem) He fixed my problem in all of 2-3 minutes, and then we talked a bit about some of their issues with outsourced support. He readily admitted they were getting A BUNCH of complaints about it, and they were meeting about it to figure out what to do. This was maybe 6-8 months ago.

I did some poking around, and found the info on my computer. I can't vouch that it is current, but I think this was the guy I talked to:

Another option would be to take the box to a retail store after December 26 say you got it and it came without the inserts and see if they will replace it. This doesn't say anything about trying to resolve the poor service problem with buy.com, but it is an option to consider.

My last shipment was stuck in KY for 6 days. I e-mailed buy.com after the 5th day asking them why it hasn't moved. I got an e-mail saying that they needed time to look over the situation, and I would receive an e-mail within 48 hours. Now going on day 4, I havn't yet got a responce. I recieved my shipment on Friday, but still, I havn't had a responce in 4 days. Pretty crappy customer service.

I went to my local Borders, and without a second thought, they gave me the inserts for the box set.
