I want to shop around. I already contacted the manufacturer to see how much they charge.
Part: AC/DC adapter
Drive part #: 9y7685-560
Model #: st33000601cb-rk
Seagate 300 GB External USB/Firewire hard drive.
Thanks! :)

radioshack?
Those power adapters tend to use a fairly non-standard plug since they have to provide 5 and 12 volts to the hard drive. So they're hard to find.

It would probably make more sense to find a new enclosure on sale for $20 and just move the drive. :)
I imagine you could buy another directly from seagate, email them and ask

It's not an enclosure+drive, it's an external drive. Don't want to crack it open.
I emailed them already but wanted to see if I could comparison-shop.
