At least the current dvd is in widescreen, but the transfer isn't anamorphic and hardly has any extras. I really hope the studio takes notice and gives us a special edition for the 10th anniversary.

It has to be 10 years in May of 2007.
Ever since I saw True Romance, I started having a birthday movie every year since and this was my birthday movie in 1997.
I remember not liking it then, but I've seen it since and liked it a bit more.
Now Grosse Pointe Blank desperately needs a SE.

Oh yes, I'd love a SE of Romy and Michele's High School Reunion. I graduated high school in May 1997 so the film really hits close to home now. Besides a new, 16x9 enhanced transfer, they must also give us two commentary tracks. One with Mira Sorvino and Lisa Kudrow as themselves and another with them in-character as Romy and Michele.

I'd love a special edition of this. They should make it a two discer and throw in the made for TV sequel (prequel?). I never saw it, and I am sure it is awful... but it would be nice to see and a pretty cool extra. I don't know about the rights issues though.

NO SEQUELS/PREQUELS!!! A sequel/prequel would ruin Romy and Michele!
I would love to see a 2-disc SE, though. Anamorphic, commentaries, deleted scenes, trailers, the works.

Man I'd love to get a decent disc of this. I was so desperate that I ordered the DVD from Japan and it ended up being non-anamorphic as well (though I went 50/50 with an anamorphic Grosse Pointe Blank at the same time). Here's hoping to a Blu-Ray in the near future, being the 10th anniversary and all.

One of the funniest and underrrated comedies from the 90s. I also look forward for a SE release of So I Married An Axe Murderer which I also think is an underrated gem. May the DVD gods hear us!
