SNL Season 1 - $30 at Buy.com w/Google Checkout

Didn't see this posted elsewhere and felt it was a good enough deal it deserved it's own thread (not just lumped into the $20 off $50 thread)

Looks like Buy.com has SNL Season 1 for $50. With the $20 off $50 using Google Checkout, looks like a cool $30 shipped! :-)

Although I am sympathetic to the trials and tribulations of a student, wait until you have a job, get married and have kids. Then you'll see what busy is. Here you go.

$30 is too expensive for 24 90-minute episodes (36 hours)?! (plus extras!)
Wow.

Cheers to the OP though, a nice deal indeed. I'll see if I can resist my impatience to take advantage...

I was going to pick this up at Target tonight, but this is a much better deal and worth the wait for it to arrive in the mail. Thanks OP!

This release includes no music replacement or deletions. I hope all those who complain about music replacement get behind this release.

That is a great deal. I ordered mine. I noticed that buy.com had raised their price to $61 on this title yesterday, and at that point it looked like it'd be cheaper at DVD Planet with the $10 off Google checkout coupon. I'm glad I checked it again this morning.

Good deal. I was also going to pass on this set as I already had the 25 years of music set and all the "best of" sets, but for $30, I will get this inaugural season. (I mean, it's not like one day there will be a giant 31 Season SNL Box Set for cheaper, right?)

Cancelled my Google Checkout order with DVD Empire and got it from Buy.com instead. Saved 11 bucks and change. Thanks for the find!

Nice catch...I'd be in on this one, except I think I can get it cheaper from Columbia House. Yesterday I saw that CH had it for $41.97. If it counts as 2 obligations, then it is only $2 more expensive than buying 2 DVDs at the $20 minimum price to count as an obligation. If the membership average is $7 (including all enrollment selections & obligations), that means SNL would be $16 + shipping & taxes...which should still make it around $26 (I think). Since I would have to pay nearly $5 in tax for the Buy.com deal (tax is added before Google discount), Buy.com price (for me) would be almost $35. Also, CH keeps doing these B1G1 free deals, so I could take at least one free DVD by ordering through them (most recently, I got Superman II SE, Mutiny on the Bounty SE, Forbidden Planet SE, & Double Indemnity SE as free selections when fulfilling 2 accounts). If only they'd had this last week when they offered free shipping on everything including box sets, i'd be a no-brainer.

Just thought I'd mention this for other CH members who need to fulfill an account. You might want to do the math & see if this would be an attractive option to the (admittedly good) Buy.com deal. At any rate, this set is a must-have...twenty-four 90-minute episodes of classic comedy...what a deal!
