Sarah Paulson was looking damn good in that Santa outfit.
The sketch mocking Dateline was absolutely hilarious. Nate had Chris' mannerisms down pat.
I wish the promos hadn't spoiled Cal busting the table in half with the coconut. That was hilarious.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing (SNL should have gotten it first), the Dateline sketch was excellent.

Jordan's stuffed mouth look when Danny finally reveals his feelings for her was priceless.
Jack seemed too passionate for the FCC issue given what we know of him, but I'm willing to roll with it.

Spoiler:
Simple. Effective. Powerful.
The show continues to hit almost every note. It has gone from "not a bad effort" to "something witty that means the opposite of 'not a bad effort'."

This episode illustrates that Aaron has got all the characters down and firing on all thrusters now.
This episode was, so far, the best one yet and did not have a klunker in all 44 minutes.
Thank goodness that I did NOT see the commercial with the coconut/table because I woke people up when I laughed out loud.
And even though it was really sweet, I also laughed out loud at Danny's "I'm coming for you" speech. It's ALMOST a stretch for Danny to be falling for Jordan, but it's not too bad. She IS an intellectual, as is Danny (aren't they all on this show?) and he respects some of her business choices so he liked her mind first. Secondly, she's hot. Third, she's pregnant with no father and I suspect that Danny wants to be a protector and she's the prime candidate.
All of this is probably screaming to the conclusion that she will lose the baby in the end, but who knows. I set odds at 2-1.
And yes the Dateline/Santa skit was funny, but they didn't play it out. Like most things on SNL the setup is promising but they can't close it out. Studio 60 didn't have to conclude it.

I liked this episode. I've been hoping since the pilot that they would do an anti-FCC storyline.
They bought a truckload of coconuts?? Couldn't they have just bought a whole lot of bagged, shredded coconut?
I would have preferred Jeannie in the Santa outfit.
The Dateline sketch was actually funny

That's the other thing, this was one of the first episodes where I authentically gave a damn about the characters, and from beginning to end.

The dateline sketch actually got an audible laugh from me. I don't watch the show for the humor, but it was still nice to see one of the sketches deliver.
Also the karate coconut table breaking scene was funny too!
Glad to see this show get it together. That was a really nice hour of tv. The last 4 minutes moved me too.

The Dateline thing was funnier than 99% of the stuff SNL has had on the air this year. They need to steal this sketch.
I know it isn't a huge deal, but the 13 year age difference (according the IMDB) between Peet and Whitford makes their pairing a bit strange to me.

My parents were 10 years apart and you'd never really know it unless you asked.
