If you listened to last week's delayed podcast, you got the impression that "Hero" wasn't one of RDM's favorite episodes, but that he was going easy on it since it was written by David Eike (sp?). But that he did say this week's ep was one of his "favorites of the season, and indeed the series." I have a feeling the boxing match will be subdued and only a vehicle for the missing year flashbacks. I'm expecting to be suprised by goodness.

If they gave an Emmy for "Best Creative Camerawork to Avoid a Female Nipple", BSG would definitely have to clear room on their trophy shelf.

Loved it.
I think Adama and Roslin 'snugglin' neath the stars was cute.
What we didn't get was Kara's reasoning. I HOPE that gets explained before S4:E8.

Yeah, Roslin and Adama looked like they were sharing a joint on New Caprica.
I'm actually quite pleastantly surprised they were able to pull off a good "boxing" episode on a science fiction show. (TKO... TKO...)

Loved this episode. I kept thinking this show is so robotech with all the drama in it.
You know what the funny thing is, I keep thinking of the time the chief beat Cally down every time I see them together. Its kind of hard to see them together.
I bet Adama hit some of that president yummy yummy after he hit the joint or maybe before. Well not really but hey she is a nice looking older lady.
Starbuck road to self destruction continues and little Adama helps her along. She gets bonus points for screwing up two other people at the same time. I would have love to see Starbuck and Dee fight though it would be an easy when for Starbuck.

My wife is a boxing fan, and says she likes Roslyn's character even more since she knows boxing.
Starbuck was such a jerk, it was karma that had her end up with that cyclon...

Loved the Adama and Roslin stuff but hated the Apollo and Starbuck stuff. It reminded me of the Buffy/Spike relationship in that they beat the shit out of each other and we are suppose to feel something for them. I don't! I hate Kara more each episode.

Fantastic episode. Possibly my favorite BSG episode. I never felt all that much chemistry between Lee and Kara (I just can't say Apollo and Starbuck or I think of Hatch and Benedict), until this episode. That was intense.
That was what I was reminded of too! Again.
That's easy. Kara is freaked out by vulnerability. She's always needed to look or appear tough. Since being in love means being vulnerable, she got scared and ran. Then to make sure she wouldn't get weak again, she married somebody else who she knew couldn't ever make her feel that vulnerable.

I thought that the speech that Adama gave after getting beat was very intriguing, and I kinda felt that it was a slight carry-over from two weeks ago. In that episode he put the mission first. Maybe he was reminded of that mentality after Bulldog was found and decided that he was being to friendly.
