DVDPlanet/DigitalEyes rude support, bad experience

I used to be a customer of DigitalEyes.net. I purchased about 50 DVDs from them over about 3 years, until about a year or so ago when they discontinued shipping to my country, South Africa.

Fine, I moved on. Made about 400 or so DVD purchases on Ebay, Amazon,
Amazon JP, DV-DEPOT, MovieMars, MovieDogPound, CD Universe, CDJapan,
etc.

Anyhow on looking at criterions the other day I found that DigitalEyes/DVDPlanet had a nice deal going which prompted me
to read their Shipping Help Page/FAQ. I found no mention of NO SHIPPING TO
THIRD WORLD COUNTRIES (like mine) and prompted by the fact that
at one stage I also bought stuff from KenCrane's (was DVDPlanet) I
made an order. In the past DVDPlanet shipped overseas.

My order was however cancelled the next day. Mr Harrill told me that it was
because their company did not ship to SA anymore but I could have my order
shipped to SA if I paid with PayPal, Google or used Amazon MarketPlace.

Sure thing, I spent another 15 min of my life re-adding the Criterion DVDs
I wanted and placed an order, paid with PayPal (verified member
since 2003 with over 70 EBay transactions with 100% feedback).

Anyhow today DVDPlanet cancelled my order. I do not blame Mr Harrill
for this, he has been a friendly chap all along but really, DVDPlanet
support/service stinks. They have a holier-than-thou attitude obviously
which possibly reaks of racism at some level. Despite a long customer
record, still on their site, and the SAME details used (address, email, even
CC number initially, etc) my second order was cancelled without
even a word of explanation. Not even a "Sorry for wasting your time. Our Director made a mistake."

So basically yeah, a poor attitude. Maybe this won't affect domestic customers but international customers, beware, DVDPlanet does not
want your money (but they won't state so in their FAQ beforehand).

An update, apparently Mr Harrill tried to help me behind the scenes but to no avail.
He proved to be very friendly and helpful before. Thank you Mark.
