from my understanding it's the unrated cut - right?

I read an interesting little news blurb that the France censorboard placed a really high restriction for this film, barring any one under the age of 18 not being able to see this - just thought I'd pass that along.

Actually, here are the complete details:

Available in separate R-rated (108 min) fullscreen and Unrated (113 min) fullscreen and anamorphic widescreen editions, each with Dolby Digital 5.1 & 2.0 tracks.

Bonus materials will include three commentary tracks (1. Director Darren Lynn Bousman, Writer Leigh Whannell and Executive Producers Peter Block and Jason Constantine; 2. Producers Oren Koules and Mark Burg; 3. Director Darren Lynn Bousman, Editor Kevin Greutert and Director of Photography David A. Armstrong), deleted scenes, "The Traps of Saw III," "The Details of Death: The Props of Saw III," "Darren's Diary: Anatomy of a Director" featurettes and trailers. Retail is $29.95.

Also look for a Blu-ray Disc edition (with two extra featurettes) day-and-date for retail $39.99.

Weird that we are getting the unrated cut on the first release this time around... they'll probably be an elaborate 6-disc trilogy set come october though...

They are doing an unrated cut now, DIRECTORS cut in October to go w/ the release of Saw 4... just wait and see. DLB said there was like 45 mins of footage cut out I think. Cant wait for this and any future releases for Saw.

Did they drop the dts-es track from this release? They have always had dts on the saw disks. I really hope they include the dts track on this release

I'm going to wait on this one. I suspect that there will be something later this year.

I'll settle for the Unrated release right away. I haven't double dipped on the other two, so i probably won't for this one.

Seeing as how I always watch these right around Halloween, I'll just wait for the inevitable special edition next October.
