Will Speilberg's 'Taken' ever price drop?

I've never seen Speilberg's 'Taken', but I'm a science fiction fan, so I would be interested if it was around $42 like most shows. However, the price for Taken is still $120, usually discounted to $100 in most stores.

Anyone know if there is a planned price drop for 'Taken'?

I've noticed for a while that many sites don't even list it anymore, or list it as unavailable.

My guess is it's out of print, with a lot of copies left at retail. I would think only in print items would be subject to studio price drops.

If you are Region Free the set is really cheap. I got mine for less than $20 US.

Ya know I was just thinking about this set the other day... When I bought it, it came with an exclusive metal shard like the one in the show. I can't seem to find the shard... I think it may have disappeared in my apartment moves over the years.

I only watched about half the series when it aired on TV, but from what I saw it seemed really good. Ive also been waiting for a price drop, hopefully if it is out of print, they will re-release it with a price drop.

is this a drop in price or just a mis-price?

If you live in Los Angeles, Amoeba usually has it in stock new for $25. That was the right price for me.

Interesting... it was fine before. Maybe they found out the price wasn't right.

I usually see copies used at Game Stop for 20-30, worth looking into.

I went and placed an order at DVDEmpire yesterday and today I got an email saying that Taken has been discontinued and my order has been cancelled. Oh well.
