Are there any limitations?

I'd love to get two Xbox 360 games (Rainbow Six: Vegas! included) and get a freebee.

I don't think the post said it, but this is usually on used games only. If not, this could be a sweet deal that I'll be taking advantage of quite a few times. If it is only used, I don't think Vegas will be available by then.

This was exactly my thought, hence I asked for any limitations.
I guess more word on this will break as we get closer to Black Friday.

I have the gamestop ad and from what it states its B2G1 on all used games and dvds with no limitations
free used video game or dvd movie must be equal or lesser value.

remember some stores don't allow stacking the B2G1 with the
3 $5.99
3 $9.99 dvds
3 $12.99

I'm confussed about this...

Tell the workers that there was an email sent telling them that stacking IS allowed...

The problem is that some stores claim the e-mail can be interpreted either way. Add to it the fact that it's a total crapshoot calling GameStop's 1-800 number. The first person you reach might say yes, it stacks w/ the "3 for" offer, and the next time you call the person you talk to will say no, it doesn't.

It has to be by design too. Contacting corporate Gamestop via their online store feedback form yields absolutely no results either with a response or any contact between them and the reported stores over the past year of reports.

Went by the two stores closest to me.... truly disappointing!! The selection wasn't nearly as good as I had hoped (the last sale was very, very good to me!) Ended up with only:

Fox & The Hound (25th Anniv. SE)
Das Boot (Director's Cut - WS)
High Fidelity (WS)

The good news was that it only came to $20.xx.

Anyone having any better luck with this sale?

Picked up a few things, but not much. The best find was Smallville season 5 in brand new condition.

The manager at one EB had an assload of DVD's set aside for himself, but he got fired. I took a quick look through and saw that Rome season 1 was in there, but the $49.99 price tag was a little too high for me for a blind buy, even with B2G1F.

Um, you think you're going to find a used copy of Rainbow Six Vegas already when it came out only days ago?

I found a used copy of Viva Pinata, so it's certainly possible.

Um, you must not know how to read very well.
The original post says nothing about the deal being for only 'used' games/movies, hence I asked if there were any limitations.

I don't think he knew it was only used games, as it didn't say in the initial post.

No offense, but since we've talked about the GS/EB B2G1F sales around here for so long, it's probably assumed that anyone that has been around here as long as you have would know that new items are never included in the sale. I'd almost say it would be insulting to assume that an long-time member wouldn't know the basic details of the sale.

You may consider me to be a "long-time member", but the fact is that I haven't participated in these kind of deals in a long time. As of late I have been visiting the VideogameTalk subsection the most and visit the DVDBargains subsection mainly for the weekly Target/BB/CC, etc. threads.

And it's never helpful to assume things but I'm sure you already knew that.

The only thing I know about DVDTalk is that no matter what you say, no matter how inoffensive, there's someone out there waiting to tear you a new asshole over it. Odds are in favor of a long-time member getting pissy and saying "I already knew that."

Just got back from buying something other than box sets at EB, and I wanted to pass on that (at least at the store I was at) the computer automatically stacks the 3/for deal with the B2G1F at checkout.

Everything was marked $5.99 originally. I guess they didn't have the McMahon DVD in the system yet. I think it had a generic tag on it. The 10% off with the member card was taken off before the other (3 for 10 and B2G1) discounts, so it took off $.60 per title in both locations I was at. So I ended up paying $1.82 plus tax per title in the end.
