Has Anyone Heard Ray LaMontagne & Not Been Hooked?

DVD Talk Legend
He was live at a venue I work at, opening for Guster. I paid no attention--and nothing jumped out to pull my attention in. I guess that's not a good sign.

i really like his stuff. and that's saying something, considering that he almost completely turned me off when i saw him opening for Guster in Nashville (first time i had ever really heard of the guy).
he sounded great in the Ryman. Beautiful, even. but he got mad when somebody talked or laughed during one of his songs ("Burn"). he made some REALLY inappropriate comments, then walked off the stage. he cancelled his part in the tour with Guster right after that.
so, even with that event, his voice and music were so haunting (in a good way), that i went right out and bought his cd. even downloaded his version of Gnarls Barkley's "Crazy", which is downright awesome.
