Criterion $39.95 titles for $22.08 shipped at DVDEmpire with Google Checkout
Now that the $10 Google Checkout promotion has returned to DVDEmpire almost all of their $39.95 titles can be bought (one per transaction) for $30.03 + $2.05 shipping less $10 GC = $22.08
The Google discount option appears after your add a title to your cart. I just ordered the new 2 disc edition of Amarcord for $22.08.

nice moskeeto - on some titles, this can save about $2 per criterion. buy 100, you can save $200!!!
EDIT: silly me. $2 per criterion compared to the 20% ddd sale that is.

If I had that much money to spend right now, I probably shouldn't be spending this much time here.
Good find, though. I may consider buying 1 or 2. :P

I wonder if this offer will go away any time soon? I need to eventually pick up "Sullivan's Travels". In my quest to rebuild a DVD collection that I have slowly sold off due to financial problems the past 2 years, that would be the first Criterion I would want to buy back.

Excellent thread, as I believe many of these titles were just below the $30 threshold previously.
But I had to double-check DDD when I saw it. Didn't they use to have all the $39.99 titles priced at $25.97 (or maybe $25.87 to beat DVD Planet)? Did DDD just jack 'em all up for their so-called "sale"?

So the Google checkout discount isn't just a one-time use kind of thing?
If not, this makes DVD Empire a lot more desirable, as they carry several titles that DDD doesn't.

The GC Promotion here is likely to expire; I'm not sure when. They ran this promotion recently but it did expire and was only reopened after about 14 days where it was gone. Until the current expiration date is determined, I would advise everyone to order soon.

For those looking to buy Criterions, be sure to check the new thread about the 20% off sale at DVDPlanet!
