Directed by Bob Odenkirk, starring Will Arnett, but promos make it look terrible.

Well I guess if you think it looks funny you may well like it.

Personally I think it looks excruciating.

pretty much what digitalfreaknyc said. Saw a test screening.. pretty damn bad. The only saving grace is that will arnett does play GOB through the film. But even that can't help the terrible story.

Some things are obvious. Like for instance you don't need to take a bite out of a turd to know it won't taste good, right?

You don't need ESP to know that a large portion of this movie will be about finding the humor in prison rape.

I'm tempted to see this but it would be cheaper to just to buy the DVD down the road. I have to own it simply because of Will Arnett so any money I can save is a good thing.

Let's Go To Prison...any word?

The word is given, and the word is: "avoid".

pretty funny, saw it today too and laughed a lot...more strange than most mainstream movies which will limit its appeal

Saw it over the weekend. Not as bad as I expected, but overall it was pretty meh. I liked it okay while I was watching it, but now that I think back on it, there's little to recommend. Like so many movies churned out by Hollywood lately, it exists solely to occupy space in the multiplex.

A good rule of thumb: The more Comedy Central promotes a movie (having the stars hawking it between episodes of Scrubs), the more you should avoid it at all costs.

The poster pretty much told me all I need to know: the title of the movie carved into a bar of soap. Helloooooooooo rape jokes! Now THAT is comedy, jokes about prison rape. Finally someone has the guts to tackle such a sacred cow.

Sigh.

I love Mr. Odenkirk but I'm amazed that a comedically advanced mind such as his didn't immediately steer clear of a prison comedy. Forget the obvious rape jokes- the whole concept feels very stale and is basically guaranteed to flop. The only good thing about this is that it'll be at least 10 years before anyone tries another prison comedy. I hope.

Did you hear the one about the Priest, the Irishman, and Richards Simmons?

P.S. You shouldn't be so uptight. It helps to laugh at yourself.

I bet if it hits HD-DVD, you'll pick it up.

Why bother when i can laugh at people like you?

You got the wrong guy. I don't even have two dozen of those. I probably have less than most people on the HD boards.

And why would you want to laugh at people like me? Do you even know me? Here's some more advice; Don't go looking for things to get offended by. I was not looking to offend you and my comment was very tongue-in-cheek, hence the wink.

I'm not looking for things to get offended by. If a homophobic joke or comment is made, I'll call someone on it.

You want some advice? Here it is: don't tell me how to fucking respond to things. You don't know me.
