Doctor Who -- "The Idiot's Lantern" -- 11/10/06

Didn't see anybody put a post up for this one yet.

I thought it was a pretty good episode. While not the best, certainly not the worst. Like to see the Doctor get all busy over Rose! I think that tends to bring out some of David's better acting skills.

One small thing: wish they would have dealt with the affects of the previous episode some more. I have not seen the remainder of the season yet, so perhaps that is resolved over the next couple of weeks.

Your mileage may vary I guess, but I found this to be the worst episode of the two seasons combined. A heavy handed dad and son sub-plot. And then there's Tennant - getting shoutier. And shoutier. AND SHOUTIER!!!!! with every scene. I swear you can actually see him shower the transmitter with spittle with the line "Rubber soles! Swear by 'em every time!"

Tennant's amazing when he does quiet. But he makes me cringe whenever he raises the volume...
