Warner to release large number of catalog titles in 2007.
Warner has announced that they will release over 200 new catalog titles in 2007. No word yet on these titles. What would you like to see in 2007?

2.) Distinct Possibilities: (Titles that haven't been fully confirmed yet, but have either been mentioned by Warner or linked to Warner by other events/companies)
BOWERY BOYS COLLECTIONS - All 48 films in multiple boxes were scheduled to begin releasing in 2006. Warner is now looking for better elements. There is no new release date.
THE COMPLETE SHOWBOAT - George Feltenstein has stated that he would like to release the '29, '36, and '51 versions as a boxed set, but no timeline has been given for production.
ZABRISKIE POINT - Mentioned for May 2005 release at Roger Waters Online. Obviously, that didn't happen, but Warner says that "it is under consideration (for release) at some point."
KUBRICK FILMS - Warner says, "It is very likely we will revisit the other Kubrick titles (LOLITA, BARRY LYNDON, FULL METAL JACKET) as well in the future."
Additional LOONEY TUNES GOLDEN COLLECTION sets - According to Jerry Beck, there are plans for ten total volumes.
TEX AVERY COLLECTION - Jerry Beck said at one time that he would be working as a consultant on these as well. He has, however deleted the post in which he mentioned this. As of June 2006, Warner was saying, "the tex avery cartoons all require a full restoration which will be VERY VERY expensive. For us to release them, in any substandard form would obviously not make you folks happy. We are trying to find the financing within the various divisions of the company to justify this undertaking."
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
3.) Remasters: (Titles that have been released, but are being reissued because new, better materials have come to light in the years since release.)
KUBRICK FILMS - 2001, A CLOCKWORK ORANGE, THE SHINING, and EYES WIDE SHUT are getting new editions in their theatrical aspect ratios in 2007. See Section 2 above regarding other Kubrick films.
AN AMERICAN IN PARIS New special edition with Ultra-Resolution restoration. Coming in 2007.
BONNIE & CLYDE - Two-disc special edition coming in 2007.
COOL HAND LUKE - Special edition tentatively planned for 2007.
THE MAN WHO WOULD BE KING - Special edition coming in 2007.

I'm still waiting for O Lucky Man. Malcolm McDowell said he recorded commentaries possibly for it so I hope it is released soon.

Hopefully Interview With the Vampire will get a re-release. The HD ready transfer has been shown on The Movie Channel and it looks way better than the current DVD.

The Prize (1963)
Dear Heart (1964)
Youngblood Hawke (1964)
The Secret of My Success (1965)
A Big Hand for the Little Lady (1966)
Who is Killing the Great Chefs of Europe? (1978)

Warner indicated in their last chat that Attack of the 50ft Woman, Frankenstein 1970 and Behemoth - The Sea Monster (US title - The Giant Behemoth) were slated for release.
The films were mentioned in the same section as the six titles that subsequently appeared in their Legends of Horror set.
Hoping very hard we'll be getting these three!

And still Ken Russell's "The Devils" gets...zip. Is this the last of Warner's major "X" rated movies that has not been released? At least Fox had the courage to release "Myra Breckinridge" and "Beyond the Valley of the Dolls" for fans who wanted them. I think Warner Brothers just wants this film to be forgotten.

The Showboat set is the big one for me. I hope that makes it out this year. And Greed and the other silents, hopefully in a single box set. And The Prisoner of Zenda set.
Other than those, I'm sure I will find some individual titles to pick and choose from. Warner gets more of my purchases on a yearly basis than any other studio, and next year will probably be no different.

Someone please tell WB to release the restoration of the 1937 "A Star Is Born" that they have sitting in their vaults! Robert Gitt of UCLA did a complete restoration, but WB never released it. Would love to see this great film in all its Technicolor glory - the existing DVDs are barely watchable.
