Wow, the CW isn't doing VM any favors tonight.

They are airing it on Halloween after a Gilmore Girls repeat.

I'm afraid of what the rating will be and if this is a signal that they might be letting the 13 episodes just play out.

I'm not thrilled with it so far, but this is still a good enough show to finish the season and with a new network, I think it should be given another year to gain viewers as people adjust.

I just have to get in here and say that Wallace is a moron. He deserves to be caught because he cheated, but he deserves it an extra special amount for handing the test in after like 15 minutes with all the right answers. Even Ben and Felicity had more sense than that.

Camp Waterloo was supposed to be in Pineville, WV?

There is NOTHING in Pineville, WV. Six cousins of mine grew up there. I have been there several dozen times over my life. If there is a one horse town, this is it. There is a state park just outside the town, but that's about it.

What's up with Weevil's skin? Hives or acne on the left side of his face and across his forehead. I also barely recognized him this year, he's gained a few el bees.

This show really repeats itself.

I know they tried to set Weevil up in the first 5 minutes to have a reason to be involved, but I didn't buy it for a minute that he would have or that Veronica would have believed that he could be involved in putting a gun to her.

And as big of a dick Lamb is, enough is enough with him believing that Keith would be involved with killing someone.

The dean of a prestigious college happens to be involved in kidnapping and Wallace cheats, so badly, that he didn't get past turning the test in before getting caught.

I'm not a mean guy, but between the weight and his face, maybe Weevil should have been the one not in the last few episodes, so that Mac could be.

And the twists with the rapes are already getting so confused that I'm reduced to having to take notes.

I agree on just about every point db, although the rape case's twists are kind of par for the course with seasonal mysteries.

If Wallace couldn't work out the answers to the test on his own then he should find a new major. First semester engineering courses really aren't that hard. At my school I don't even think we could take actual engineering courses unless perhaps you brought some AP calculus and physics credits with you, it was all foundation stuff. The exception to this were half credit field introduction classes. You had to take at least 2 from different engineering fields before you were allowed to declare a major and they were really more recruiting tools than work, probably the most fun classes I took.

They really shouldn't shoot Weevil in the daylight. Looks like they figured that out too. By the end of the episode Weevil's jail scenes had a nice Walter E. Kurtz look going on. The horror...

Weevil's face was distracting tonight, with all of those bumps on the left side. His weight gain was really obvious last night.

I don't know where they are going with Wallace's storyline. I think that he is too smart to be that stupid. I can't see him just writing down the answers, without taking the time to seemingly do the test. I think that there is more to the story than what we have been led to believe.

LOL'ed at the "Adrian Monk" line.

Forgot to add the 'voice over' scene was pretty funny since the actor playing Cliff really is a voice actor for the most part. The pay off "When you're here, you're family" had me lol, but they really shoehorned the setup in. There was no reason to conduct such an elaborate hoax.

Good to see Lamb get some decent screen time too. Mr. Roboto was also pretty funny. I'm not sure where they are going with him, he almost seemed nice to V at the end.

Now that Lamb is a regular, he'll definitely get more screen time.

I love Cliff. I wish he was a regular. He definitely has a distinctive voice.

I thought it was an entertaining enough episode, but it was disappointing to see VM jump to the obvious conclusion of Weevil's guilt so quickly, and Wallace is a knucklehead. Now Claire not owning up to knowing the guy in the ATM photo is a head-scratcher.

The Lamb comment "Hey Beautiful, we'll be back to pick you up later", I think was supposed to be a parody of this:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CYEXBTlWf_4

Which was really, "Hey good lookin, we'll be back to pick you up later".

Whatever it was, that Lamb line was the co-highlight of the night (along with the Olive Garden line) for me.

I like the background comment when Lamb was doing the Robot. Someone off-screens says "Sheriff's doing the robot again....(some veronica/lamb dialog)... let me get my camera phone."

Yeah, they were talking about Lamb doing the dance in the background. Funny stuff.

To be fair, it's worked in the past -- he stole the money for the senior class trip, and he set Thumper up in a way that ensured he'd be murdered by the Fitzpatricks.

yea the whole poor Weevil schtick get's old fast. He's pulled that card numerous times when in fact, he's been quite guilty.

I'm not here to bitch and moan about the show (I love it), but this was probably the weakest written one I've ever seen. It's all been brought up in this thread already but:

1. V thinking Weevil's guilty without thinking what an obvious set-up it was.
2. Wallace storyline just didn't make any sense. He has the questions for the test, but can't figure out the answers? And then, when he gets the answers, he turns in his test first, well ahead of everyone else?
3. The over-elaborate plan to get Grieco into the office.
4. V almost about to break down and cry when Logan showed up after the stickup seemed out of place too.

Plus, V didn't really do much cool 'investigation' stuff this time. I figured she'd drop a bug (or her cell phone or something) into the thief's bag to track them.

No biggie (every show has a bad ep), but this one had some really lazy writing. Seemed like everyone took a week off and just let an intern throw together a 'filler' episode.

I agree it was weak in terms of plot/story, but the I think the dialog/character stuff was probably the best we've had all season. The sudden appearance of a sentimental necklace was a bit contrived, but it was nice to see Veronica get emotionally involved in a case. I think she cared more about finding that trinket than finding the rapist. As mentioned, the Lamb and Cliff stuff was good. We also finally got a little Logan/Weevil smack talk. And there was also the pizza shop scene, which I also liked.

Regarding Wallace, I read a theory on another board that perhaps Wallace didn't cheat, but instead wrote some sort of confession in his exam book. It would fit what I remember of his scenes, and makes more sense than him being such a bad cheat, but I don't see the point of pulling something like that over on just the viewers.

I agree completly. And what is with Weevil becoming such a fat ass.

Lamb's scenes were all great. I actually enjoyed the mainstory, but Wallace's dragged.

1. I don't think she was mischaracterized in suspecting Weevil...it's been shown in the past that she makes some one-sided snap judgements on her bad boys. I just didn't like they wild and uncontrolled way that she accused him.
2. It looks like a Heroes-esque twist to me (although big thumbs down if it isn't...no one should be that stupid when cheating).
3. Agreed, but it was some great cheese from Cliff
4. Not sure why Logan was even in this episode. I was hoping for some great Weevil/Logan interactions.

I think you're right. Everyone was (loosely) in-character, but it seemed like the writing was just 'cashing in the check' this episode.

I'm still not 100% sure Wallace cheated on the test... I wouldn't put it past the writers for him to have written "I bought a copy of the test, but I can't go through and cheat" on his paper.
