FYE B&M - Monster House and Nacho Libre $7.99 after $7 MIR

I just happened to go to the Wherehouse/FYE B&M and saw someone else buying Monster House for $14.99 and a $7 rebate printed out. I asked what other titles were $14.99 before a $7 rebate, and I was told Nacho Libre and something else I've never heard of (and therefore can't remember).

Well, I wasn't planning on buying either (especially since I haven't seen either movie), but for $7.99 each (minus postage stamp) after rebate I changed my mind.

I'm surprised I didn't see any other threads about this. I'm almost never first to report anything, so I wonder if I didn't use the Search utility right or if this is only in my area.

Sounds like a good deal if you can get the rebate.

IIRC, FYE doesn't have a very good track record when it comes to rebates (here on the forum) but I've never dealt with them personally.

I already have Monster House as a CH pre-order though.

Looks like the rebates are available online at FYE.COM as well. Valid rebate period from 9/1/06 - 11/6/06 with postmark date by 12/6/06.

Monster House is 19.99 before the rebate at my local FYE (louisivlle, KY). I wish we had the 14.99 price!

I second the FYE rebate warning. $19.99 w/$7 rebate sounds like their normal pricing. So, if you receive any rebate from a $14.99 purchase price, they may only give you $2. And, if you had multiple rebates on the same receipt, you'll usually only receive one of them.

Make sure to keep copies of everything. If you remember a couple months from now that you never got your rebate, and you're persistent in resubmitting, you might eventually get your $7.

i just picked this up and theres a upc sticker on the plastic case (different UPC #) which UPC do i use? hopefully i can use thatone so i dont have to cut up the artwork. thanks
