Sid369 (or others)...Indian Horror?

I believe that Sid369 mentioned he was from India. Do you have any recommendations for good Indian horror movies, if there is such a thing?

There are a few Indian Horror movie that I personally liked, but it was only until recently that they started making those. It was utter rubbish movies I can say lower than a d-grade indian horror movies in the past.
I can recommend you a few I think three that I liked the most but the problem is that its in Hindi the official Indian lnaguage and I don't know if you get them in english subtitles. Anyways here it is

1. Bhoot( means Ghost) - Directed by Ram Gopal Verma. One person actually dies in the theatre after watching the movie of course he was a heat patient it turned out to be.

2. Darna Mana Hai ( means You can't get scared) - Directed by Ram Gopal Verma . Its six guys and girls stranded in the middle of no where telling each other six stories to see who gets scared and who doesn't.

3. Darna Zaroori Hai (sequel to the previous one means You have to get scared) - Directed by Ram Gopal Verma - Again Six stories told by an old women to these bunch of kids who get lost in the woods.

I can't and won't even recommend any other than these because it snot worth it. I think you might be able to rent these in some of the Indian grocery store. i rented them all and watched here in the U.S.

Hope that helps

Cheers!!!

The Sept issue of Rue Morgue has a small article on Indian horror. Mondo Macabro is releasing Bollywood Horror Collection Vol 1. The two movies in the set are Purana Mandir and Bandh Darwaza.
