Doesn't look like Best Buy or Circuit City are gonna cut us a break on this one ($19.99). :(
Anybody know if any other stores (Fry's, Wal-Mart, etc) have a better price?

Went to 2 local Walmarts today, one had it for $16.99 and the other $19.99. No idea why Best Buy is not on sale....Damn Blue Shirts!

Damn...went to the local Fry's and Wal-Mart at lunch and both of them had it for $19.99 also. Bummer.
Bought it anyway, of course. 'Tis true -- no ticket, no booklet, no nothing other than the discs and a (admittedly cool) lenticular cover. Oh well...

Well, just like Saw Uncut, I'll wait until some store has it for $6.99 or less. I didn't own Saw Uncut until Sunday at Best Buy.
Also, since there is no free ticket for Saw III, I'll wait for DVD to see that one...
Thanks Lionsgate!

Damn... I'm honestly surprised by the price point and lack of free ticket.
Although it does show how spoiled I've been lately with these releases.

Any thoughts on why none of the major retailers hooked us up on this title? It just seems so odd, for a $26.98 DVD to only have $7 slashed off the retail price on release week at Best Buy, Circuit City, Target and (at least in my town) Wal-Mart. I'd hate for this to be the first sign of a new trend...

Is there that big of a difference to spend the extra money on this dvd? Is there anything added that makes it better?

I might have missed it, but I don't remember the first release of Saw II hitting $10 since it's release. I haven't bought it yet, waiting for it to drop. But that seems odd too, even with this release coming out it hasn't dropped. Although, I did notice a few weeks ago Bestbuy lowered the theatrical Saw II from $19.99 to $14.99 (not a sale).

IIRC, the theatrical Saw II DVD was part of a 2 for $20 at either BB or CC, but only once and it was a couple of months back. I had to really restrain myself from buying it that week.

Well ... I love stories ... the Wal-Mart in Forest Park, IL had a large order in for Saw II Uncut. I needed someone with keys to get it out of the case. So I walked over to the media aisle checkout and asked can I get a copy of Saw II uncut. The clerk yelled at me and said - that ain't a new movie so it ain't behind the glass. I corrected her and she told that the new Saw will be in the theaters on Friday.
-- someone is a bit confused here --
I asked if she could walk with me to the glass case to show her the new version. She didnt want to. Said that Saw 2 was out on the shelf for $13.87 (this one is the old version folks). She kept on yelling something about that I dont know how to ask for a dvd or something like that.
Apologized for trying to make her move from her chair.
Found a nice young manager. Explained the situation to him and he came back, made her get off her chair and open the cabinet. She said, oh, I didnt know those came in today.
Moral of the story: I forgot to bring in the WalMart.com page that showed the dvd at $14.87. Instore price was $19.87.
Told her to put it back and to take anger management classes.
So its $14.87 at Walmart.com. Wait until Friday's Fry's ads - probably be at that same price too.

We have a similar old hag who works at our local Walmart at the Swansea Mall in Swansea MA. She is the most miserable nasty woman I have ever seen working at a retail store. She puts the new release dvds out every Tuesday morning but she puts them out at full price. She takes her sweet time starting the sale prices and she won't rush for anyone...If any deserved a bitch slap it would be her!
