I just got through to the site and saw the trailer. It doesn't look too great, but I'll probably see it (or rent it - I suspect a possible straight to DVD release) because I do so love zombie films.
The storyline seems somewhat different from the Romero film, though the military still plays a big role. I'm fine with that, but the whole thing looks off - dialogue, music, acting. The zombies are ridiculously hyperactive with a bunch of them jumping out of second-story windows at one point. And Mena Suvari is not very convincing as a soldier.

I'll give it a shot. I wasn't to keen on the Dawn Of The Dead remake until I saw it, now it's definitley a top guilty pleasure of mine. I'm hoping this is in the same vein.

The trailer isn't put together that well (terrible score), but I think the movie will be fun. It doesn't look like it will be on par with the Dawn remake though, from what I can see.

That trailer looked ok. Hey, a marginal Living Dead flick is better than NO Living Dead flicks.
Frankly, the original "Day" was shitty so I feel no loyalty to the storyline. Hopefully this one will deliver.

I agree with this. The trailer showed A LOT of the movie too. That's usually a bad sign any way you spin it. It looks like this movie is going to show the origin of the outbreak. The scientists or whatever are responsible based on a quote. Maybe not... I'm skeptical and hope it's just a bad internet trailer.

That was terrible. I have never been so bored watching a trailer. It does look like a made for TV movie. I won't write the movie off yet, but that trailer better be a very poor showing of the whole film.
Agreed that the original Day of the Dead was nothing special, but this one looks crappy in a different way. Also, what is the deal with Ving Rhames character? Is he playing someone different from his character in Dawn?
