I hate HBO for being so expensive. Luckily my local library has both seasons of Deadwood.

Some of the better prices around for these, but yes still a bit pricey. Hopefully HBO will wake up and realize that sales for some of these (Sopranos, Six Feet Under, Oz, etc) would probably explode with some sensible price reductions,

While the deal is good, the MSRP on all HBO titles is so ridicuously high!

Why is Everyone Loves Raymond cataloged as an HBO favorite?

And yes, those HBO MSRPs are so damned high, even 40% or so reduction leaves them ridiculously expensive.

$60 for a 13-episode set? I don't think so.

Yup, $60 should be the MSRP. $36 for these sets on sale would be easy to justify.

You can find these sets about $10-20 bucks cheaper at Sam's.

HBO produced it.

Yeah, the HBO sets are expensive. I bought 3 or 4 of the Curb Your Enthusiasm sets with gift cards. Bought Mr. Show when the complete series pack was on sale at Best Buy for around $40. Bought Band of Brothers at Target's SNAFU $5.99 sale. I check out Six Feet Under from the library.

Are the prices for these sets justified? I know HBO doesn't get ad revenue.

That's not all that great. I've seen them list lower when they weren't on "sale."
