From the Press Release:
Night of Too Many Stars
Comedy Central's first live event, Night of Too Many Stars: An Overbooked Benefit for Autism Education will be held at New York City's Beacon Theatre on Sunday, October 15 at 8pm.
There are a several things you should know about this event. First, you can watch the live simulcast right here on www.comedycentral.com
Also, the confirmed talent list for this hullabaloo is off the charts. Jon "Jonnie Stew" Stewart is hosting. Now check out the rest of the entertainers and answer this question: "Which of these acts is not like the other?"
Jack Black
Kristin Chenoweth
Stephen Colbert
Steve Carell
Elvis Costello
Jimmy Fallon
Ricky Gervais
Adam Sandler
Christopher Meloni
Moby
Mike Myers
Bob Odenkirk & David Cross
Amy Poehler
Will Farrell
Paul Rudd
Martin Short
Tony Sirico
Triumph the Insult Comic Dog
Brian Williams
Give up? It's Elvis Costello! Come on, everybody knows that Mr. "My Aim Is True" is a humorless musician.
The show actually already aired live. However, CC is reairing it twice tonight, and then again Tuesday morning at 2am. Note that the benefit, due to being overbooked, ran over by about 15 minutes. You can still catch it on the website. Also, Jon Stewart mentioned during the broadcast that it will appear on itunes, so it might show up there as well sometime this week.

I caught some of this. Cross and Odenkirk bombed, it seemed, even though I thought it was a bit funny. Jimmy Fallon as Barry Gibb failed, too. Mike Meyers as the 'excentric millionaire' was funny, but only because it wasn't a retread of a previous SNL character. We saw Armisen's Prince (who said nothing) and Amy Pohler's Sharon Stone.
Best one, of course was Triumph. I lurves me some Triumph....to poop on!

Ok show, Tivo'd it... missed the last part, due to it running long
Thinking back, nothing really stands out as great; other stuff not mentioned: Ferrell as Robert Goulet, also, Forte & Armisen really sold that kiss.

uhh, what about Borat? His little gesture towards the end of the interview...and Stewart is asking him a question, he just does his hand gestures..."What is that?"
"it's the jews!"
lol.
Ben Stiller playing David Blaine was funny. "Snakes on a Blaine"
Mike Myers was great. Highlight of the night for me.

Ferrell's impressions are terrible, but he somehow still makes them hilarious
Ferrell, Borat, Triumph, Sandler with the pony, and Fallon doing the one character on SNL that he did that was any good were great and I liked Christopher Meloni's small bit as the overbooked star.
Edit: I forgot all about Gervais who was hilarious

For those of you who missed it, there are several clips up on Youtube:
Jon Stewart's opening bit
Stephen Colbert showing his charitable side
Robert Goulet (Will Ferrell) talking to Stewart
Steve Carell and Oscar Nunez from The Office set
Mike Myers as an eecentric millionaire
Stewart interviews Borat
Triumph the Insult Comic Dog & fake Ladysmith Black Mombazo
Can't find my favorite clip from last night though: Elvis Costello singing more popular songs as the call volume increases. Maybe it'll appear later on Youtube.

The show is on iTunes now. It's $1.99 to download, with all proceeds going to charity, and it's the full uncut show, including an Elvis Costello song that was performed during a commercial break.
