DVD Talk review of 'The Departed'

I read Brian Orndorf's DVD review of The Departed at http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/read.php?ID=24227 and...thought his review was off when he considers the Departed to be a "loose remake" of Infernal Affairs. It's basically the same movie, with practically the same scene setups, with the exception that the Departed did have more character and background development going for it. Having just re-watched Infernal Affairs, it did seem to flow faster, while at times during the Departed, I found it to be a little slow in development. The Departed is a great movie, however, more credit should be given to Infernal Affairs other than implying the Departed was loosely translated from the original.
