Digital Rights Management. It's a way to ensure that the music files you download can't be freely copied and exchanged with other users. It thwarts piracy, but it also makes it difficult to play the files on other music devices owned by the same person.

I'm no pirate, but I also prefer to be able to play the file on my 'puter or my laptop or my Mp3 player or on a CD in my wife's van. DRM keeps me from doing that as easily as I would like, and since I don't want to load any DRM software onto my Mp3 player, it's just too much of a hassle for me to want to deal with.
