XBOX 360 Freezing

I have been playing pretty much NCAA 2006 on just started having a freezing problem.

I tried clearing the cache, removing the disc, etc.

THis is not the usual dirty disc error, but actual game freezes. THe only way I can explain it is like an old NES freeze when the graphic locks and gets little lines through it.

My 360 has been pretty well ventilated, and the power pack is in the open. I played Oblivion for hous and never had this problem.

I thought it was possibly my dynasty, but the same thing happens during mini-games as well. I have played at least 3 full seasons with-out this problem. Then tonight it happened at least 4 times in a row. I played a game earlier and it worked OK (after a DDE).

Is it NCAA, or a problem with my 360? Is this a precurser to the ring of death? I just would like to know how to proceed.

The 360 if from last Christmas, I think at leat the second shipment. It is the deluxe version with the silver drive bay.

Thanks.

I can assume it's NCAA itself.

YMMV, but I had the same problem and then a week later I got the rings of death.

Well, maybe if it happens, I can send it in and get some school work done.

If it is my NCAA, do I call EA, or am I just hosed? I bought it around release.
If it is my 360, do I call MS, or take it back to EB Games ( I think my wife bought the warranty.)

I tried playing again today and got through a kick-off before it locked.

I just tried again, and got the Red Rings of Death.

Should I contact MS or EB Games? I ask because I did not get the MS warranty, because I heve the EB games one. Will MS do the repair since it is a known problem, and I have had the 360 for 10 mos, or would it be easier to just let EB deal with it?

How does one go about dealing with an EB claim? It seems like the easiest method, since I can go switch. Do I need to take everything with me, or just the 360 itself?
