Several MLB sets, just in time for the playoffs.

The sets in the A&E topic are substantially cheaper.

Looks like they changed it to match/beat A&E. It's now 80%.

Might want to see if a Mod can change the title to reflect the new prices.

Better to hold on and watch them in November to fight off post-World Series baseball withdrawal.

Wow, now I can buy the Red Sox set to wash this incredibly horrible taste I have in my mouth thanks to the last 2 months of this past season.

Great prices. Being from Chicago, I'll be ordering the 2005 Chicago White Sox world series championship DVDs.

But I'm a bit dissappointed they don't have on sale the DVD set from the Chicago Cubs world series championship.

Huh? What's that? You say there isn't one??

Did you say they haven't won the series since 1908 !???

Waaaaa

It's a great set. My only complaint is the picture quality of the games themselves. I had just upgraded to HD in the fall of 2004, and watching these grainy 4:3 transfers was pretty disappointing after having seen detailed 16x9 broadcasts. I really wish they had used the HD broadcasts as source for an anamorphic presentation on the DVDs.

At $35, it's a steal. I paid twice that when it came out (and thought I was getting an amazing bargain at the time).

There's always next year. Once we drop Tavarez into the 5 hole and Clement makes his anticipated move into the closer role, we'll be unstoppable. I also envision Kyle Synder becoming a top of the rotation ace.

I wonder if the prices are going to stay like this for the 20% off sale.

The sale ends 11/30, but last week the sets were ~50% off, and when the A&E sale ends later this month I would imagine the sale prices will go back to closer to 50% off. I wouldn't wait for the 20% off sale if I were you.

He's joking-you have to be Sox fan to get it.

Edit-at least I think he is.

Picked up the Mets one, I don't care if it's backordered, it'll come sooner or later. DDD, I want to have your babies many, many times.

Damn. I bought that mets set for 70 bucks a few months ago. Oh well, i'm a sucker for a great deal, I'm re-buying the mets set and maybe a few other ones just for a nostalgia kick.

DDD has raised the prices of the sets (considerably, in some cases). On Tuesday, I ordered the White Sox and Mets sets for $35.08 total - the Mets set is now $32.85 by itself.

I ordered the Yankees set earlier today for $17.29 and when I just checked the prices now, it is now up to $22.35.

Looks like they changed it to reflect A&E's price increases.

Glad I pulled the trigger and ordered two Mets sets (one for myself, the other for a friend) last night and not waited until this afternoon to send the order when my friend finally gave me the ok on getting him a Mets set. (He was fine with me going ahead and ordering it without his ok.) Would have not only missed out on the lowest price for the set but also DDD would have not got a order from us - wasn't going to spend $32.85 for that set especially when it was alot cheaper a day earlier!

If anyone is interested in getting the Yankees set which went to $22.35 at DDD, its still $19.95 at A&E and it includes the 5 pin set valued at $20.00. (The Mets set went up to $29.95 there.) Use the free shipping & handling code located in the A&E thread so you can get it for $19.95. (I wounded up ordering the Yankees set from A&E and not DDD where it was $17.35?-the $2.60 or so for the pin set is worth it.)
