1440x900 resolution on Xbox360

Every 19" widescreen LCD PC monitor that I see has a resolution of 1440x900. This actually has a slightly weird ratio of 16:10 rather than the typical 16:9 used on HDTVs. My question is if I hooked up my 360 via VGA to this monitor, how would the picture look? I am not sure, but I have heard that monitors don't upscale/downscale like HDTVs do. The highest widescreen resolution the VGA cable supports is 1366x768. Would this mean that the monitor would do a 1:1 pixel match and leave the unused pixels as a black frame around the picture (somewhat like a non-anamorphic dvd would look on a 16:9 HDTV)? Will it be stretched vertically so that everyone looks tall and skinny (since it is 16:10 instead of 16:9)?
