I graduated with a B.A. in Film Studies this June and like many "graduates" before me, I fell into an anticlimatic malaise of discontent. Feeling sort of burnt-out from the copious amount of film that I had digested during my years of study. From Noir to classic Hollywood to Art-house to Hollywood Renaissance I saw it all... SO, now I finally had the freedom to leisurely screen the films that I hold closest to my heart. My original concept was to create a logical, expertly crafted top 20 list. But somehow this project has morphed into a thorough journey through the dark, macabre milieu of the horror genre. Here is my watch list which started sometime in June and has lasted to today the 29th of September. As I prepare for my entry into the 100 horror films of October, I share my enriching experience from one cineste to another. Please feel free to share any comments or questions.
