Need help remembering Title of Movie

The last time I saw this movie i must of been 9 or 10. I can't remember the name nor much of the story line. The only part that is concrete about the story is about this little girl.
she must of been like 13 or so in the movie and her and her family lived in some mountain hill backwater area. I believe it was either her dad or uncle who watched them was maybe an alcoholic and just like a backwater loser.
Anyway, in one scene this dad or uncle is really sick. The young girl says to her brothers and sisters, we have to get him in the tub he has a fever.
Then she proceeds to tell them to get the shrimp. And they dump a ton of dead shrimp into the tub. The dad or uncle then screams.

I know that may sound a bit silly but it's been nagging me forever that I can't think of that movie.
I'm not even sure if its on dvd.
Hoping someone can help me with this.

Thanks

Jumbo or Popcorn? Sorry, just kidding.

What was the approximate year, that may help narrow it down. I remember there was a classic Universal 50's Monster Flick called something like "Attack of the Killer Shrimps". Quite surprised it didn't make it into the recent Best Buy Sci-Fi Collection.

Were they trying to treat the fever or cook the shrimp?

Ha, they were trying to treat the fever.
this wasn't a horror movie but more of a drama.

and if i remember correctly, the shrimp didn't look frozen. Maybe they were just chilled.

but the backdrop of their house had a "Deliverance" country type of look.

It's "must have" or, when said rapidly, "must've"...

I started a thread about this in Other awhile ago. It's a losing battle, which is sad, but it's also the natural evolution of language.

Back on topic: Could it be Hoosiers?!

I don't remember if any shrimp were involved, but the backwater plot with a sick father and children taking care of him sounds like "Where the Lilies Bloom." I doubt they would have had any access to shrimp though, so probably not that one.

That very well may be the movie.

Thanks
