So far, I've heard really good things about the start of season 3. I really hope that the writers will be able to right the ship after a very uneven and disappointing season 2.

I am quickly reminded how they have Bree once again with a psycho lover, ala the pharmacist and the sex addicted guy. I hope they resolve that soon and give her character some other angles than being duped by whackos.

magiccmom, it doesn't look like that theme will change since they already had her say yes to orson.

lauren graham's character in the lap of the kids was pretty funny. reminds me of bad santa.

You mean Joy Lauren right? Lauren Graham was in Bad Santa but is in Gilmore Girls now.

I wonder if the narration about rain "washing everything away" was meant to be a comment about last season and its blunders? Gabby is really becoming one of the more amusing people on the show.
While Bree dating another psycho is old, Orson seems to be more of a legit threat than George. Kyle MacLachlan can definitely make this character work if they keep him that way.

right, i guess they just look the same to me.

good point about last season being washed away, didn't think about that. yeah, he seems like he would be a better psycho than george.

Oh man, that whole dilemma with keeping the birthday under wraps was classic.

The stuff between her and Xiao Mei was great.

Interesting ep. Definitely had some laughs, but I think it's too early to make a call at this point. I hope they actually spread out a mystery with some meaning and don't hot shot it, as a lot more happened with Orson than I would have thought.

I typically DVR this show, and having to sit through ads really hurt my interest.

So is everyone on the freaking show a killer? Give me a break. If I wasn't done with the show last year, I'm absolutely done now.

Yeah, Laurie Metcalf's character came to Wisteria Lane a bit too soon.
But I still give this one an A.

Poor Bree, she get's her first O from another creepy suitor.

You mean Kiersten Warren right? She's the one that plays Nora, mother to Tom Scavo's lovechild.

Lynette in the picture

I thought it was pretty good. Susan didn't even get on my nerves this ep so it's is better than any episode from last season already.

I was surprised they got away with that cunnilingus scene.

"Republicans don't do that!"

Boy, Orson's character is now nothing like the chipper guy Susan met at the movies, huh?

When Bree confessed they hadn't done it yet, I was starting to wonder if Orson had the same problem Kyle's character had on Sex and the City.

Exactly. They cast him as almost exactly the same character he played in SATC (and I know he can stretch -- I saw Showgirls). They cast him as the imperfect fiance of the most uptight, repressed woman in a TV comedy that features the relationship among four female best friends in a show written by a gay man ... again. This is absurd deja vu. At very least, they could have cast Kristen Davis as the first wife; THAT would have been funny.

Watching this episode I realize I don't care about any of the characters, and don't remember when I did. If I don't get drawn in, within the next few episodes, I'm done.

And I'm sure they're all going to stop production, take a moment, and cry a tear about that.

Only half way through the episode and I have a feeling I'm about to quit this pup for good after watching all of the first two seasons. It feels very been there, done that.

I was listening to this in the backgroud, and I heard him say something like, "I'm a libertarian. I believe in maximum freedom and limited government." So I started watching while he gave her the orgasm. I loved the analogy of the kitchen sink overflowing.

I felt pretty much the same way. Worse, I was actually bored.
