Which TV Show Overall has/Had the Best 'FREAKS OF THE WEEK' ?

From Xfiles to Buffy to Smallville to the 4400 to Supernatural

There have been many shows which had a sizeable "Freak of the Week" component.

Which show do you think overall had/has the best Freaks of the Week

Not which was the best individual Freak of the Week, just overall generally which show had the best ones.

X-files hands down. They have the most memorable. The other shows are good while you are watching but don't have that unforgettable moment about them. Who can forget Eugene Tooms, Duane Berry, the Pusher, the Host, Eve 6, or the "Home" episode among two dozen other greats?

It was the original and still leaps and bounds better than the others.

I wouldn't say it was the original. Kolchack: The Night Stalker pre-dates the X-files by almost 2 decades.

I'd have to pick X-Files, although I'm a big Kolchak fan.

I'm enjoying Supernatural, but consider it a guilty pleasure and doubt I'll ever tell my grandkids tales about it.

I figured someone would say something. I meant original as far as bringing "freak of the week" back to mainstream television.

I'm a huge Whedon fan...and a follower of Smallville...but I've gotta say X-files has the best ones by a long shot.

Ironically, the whole "arc" thing on X-files always seemed stupid to me.

Star Trek: Voyager was pretty much an "Alien Race of the Week" Show and was heavily criticized for it, so I guess you could say that was one too.

X-Files hands down. If a "Freak of the Week" series set was available, I'd but it. Like chess, I disliked the entire Story Arc.

Seinfeld would be a close second.

The X-Files, by far. The "freaks" on that show ran the gamut from sci-fi to horror to folklore to human tragedies.

X-Files was the best freak of the week show this side of Cops and Jerry Springer (freak of the day?).
